Merry Christmas!

Hello to everyone from the Lohr household! It has been a fun filled three days at home and I am not ready to go back to work tomorrow. I had to work until 3:00 on Christmas Eve and I was so excited to get home and start our first Christmas at our new house in Marshalltown. We had originally planned to travel to Sioux City on Christmas Day but with the weather forecasts we opted to just plan on staying home. Which turned out to be a good idea since Sioux City got approximately 25 inches of snow. We had a wonderful, quiet and cozy Christmas at home, just the four of us.

We let Jack open one of his presents on Christmas Eve. Probably because Chris and I were so excited to give it to him. We knew he would love it! For some reason, Jack is obsessed with machines that you can push or move that make noise. He loves lawn mowers, vacuums, and snow blowers! So since he already had a toy lawn mower we bought him his own little Dyson vacuum. He carefully tore off the wrapping paper that covered the handle and he saw the handle, looked at Chris, looked at me, smile so big and said, "VACUUM!" and then proceeded to tear off all the rest of the wrapping paper. He loved his gift and spent the rest of the night vacuuming the floors.

The rest of Jack's presents were also a hit, a John Deere tractor and wagon, and a Fisher Price Little People airplane. Savannah's presents were pretty much to decorate the shelves in her room. A cute porcelain tea set, a pink gumball machine, a personalized pink and green piggy bank, and a children's book called "Savvy" as that is her new nickname!

More to come soon!
