We had a wonderful Christmas even though the kids were both sick with colds. We made it to Sioux City safely despite the bad weather and we had a great time with both sides of our families!
Christmas began Thursday night at our house. We had a nice dinner, Chris made lasagna and we got into our jammies to open presents with the kids.
As you can see Jack was pleased with his gifts.
Savvy was so excited about her Barrell of Monkeys! She plays with them at ChildServe all the time while Jack is in therapy and now she has her own set!

Santa Claus visted our house that night, but no pictures were taken because the kids were up all night sick, and I was exhausted!! They were excited about their presents, but Jack was confused because when he came around the corner and saw his bulging stocking and pile of gifts, he looked disappointed because he thought he was going to see Santa. Whoops, guess we didn't clarify to him. We packed up the car and headed off to Sioux City that morning.
We stayed at Greg and Roxanne's house and Christmas Eve was so much fun! They asked a friend of theirs, Bob Thompson, to come over dressed up as Santa to deliver Jack and Savannah their HUGE drum, from "Santa" or Greg and Rox. The kids were so surprised, and for once, Jack was speechless.

After church on Christmas morning we went over to Mom and Lyle's house. We had a nice dinner with my Grandparents and Lyle's mom Gladys. It was great to just hang out around the house with my brothers and sisters, eating and talking. We opened presents that night and Jack and Savannah had a blast playing with Brooklynn. I loved my gifts and felt absolutely spoiled this Christmas. We drove home on Sunday and I was so happy to have today at home to play with the kids and all their new toys, catch up on laundry, and I even got a nap in!! YES!

Here comes Jack! We sat in this playhouse and used a flashlight to read all the new books from Christina and Amy for Christmas. What a great way to spend a morning at home!
