We spent the Fourth of July at the pool as a family. It was very relaxing with the exception of chasing three small children and keeping them alive. Haha. After going home and getting cleaned up we went to the Fourth of July BBQ and party at the club. It was fun to hang out with other families with small children and the kids sat by the pool and watched the older boys go off the board. After dinner we came home and put Landon to bed. Jack and Savannah were so excited to watch the fireworks from the best view in the world: OUR OWN BACKYARD!! We grabbed blankets and flashlights, Jack and Savvy had their water bottles with crystal light and Chris and I had huge homemade margaritas. We carried our chairs down to the edge of the property line where Chris stops mowing and the tall grasses grow. We brought the baby monitor in case Landon woke up and snuggled in for a great show. We could see multiple displays from the backyard and someday I foresee us hosting an awesome 4th of July party at our house. Maybe when the new deck, pool, and fire pit has been built. Maybe in like ten years. Lol. The kids actually got so tired sitting outside that they asked to be put to bed. It was a wonderful first 4th of July at our new house.
Love all your patriotic outfits even!
