The Ronald McDonald House gave out tickets to the game along with an invitation from the UnderArmour company to go to their yearly staff party in the bullpen. They even gave us a parking pass. It was so nice. We got two Underarmour t-shirts but they were too big for the kids and too small for Chris. Camden Yard was pretty full, they were playing the New York Yankees and even though I am not a huge baseball fan, it was cool to see A-Rod and Derek Jeter bat. Jack was really excited to see the huge flags flying, the black and orange balloons and the huge scoreboard.
We found our seats early so we could get away from the very loud band in the bullpen party.
Jack entertained himself climbing the stairs for a good 20 minutes. He kept swinging around his casted arm, thumping it loudly into things and people just stared, thinking his arm was broken under that cast. I am sure they thought I was a terrible mom that I didn't do anything about it.
We ate tons of junk food and Chris and I even shared a couple of beers. Jack and Savannah lasted two innings. We got certificates that stated that Jack and Savannah attended their first Oriole games and are the team's newest fans. Perfect for their baby books.
Savannah cut her first tooth on Easter Sunday, April 4th. It is her lower right front tooth (mandibular right central incisor) to be exact. We are patiently waiting for the second incisor to erupt.
Savannah brushing her one tooth like an expert!
There it is....the lone ranger tooth!
At the Orioles game we decided to let Savannah really use that one tooth. She is constantly trying to eat all of our food. We cannot feed her fast enough or just ENOUGH food at all. She has such an appetite. So after three attempts to keep my cookie out of her hands I just gave in and decided she could go for it with that one tooth of hers! She loves it when Mommy caves!
Jack decided he was tired of his helmet and wanted to share it with Savannah! For some reason she kinda liked it on.... until Jack started swinging her cast and thumpin her in the head.
Watching the Backyardigans, practicing his new skill of crossing his legs. The therapists call it "criss cross applesauce" since you can't say Indian-style anymore because it is not politically correct. For all you Seinfeld fans, it makes me think about the episode with Jerry and the Indian statue. Pretty funny stuff.
The kids are sleeping right now and when they wake up we are going to take a walk since it is gorgeous outside and very carefully explore the neighborhood, with Chris of course. Tonight we are going to try to find a mall and a pizza place.
