The summer of 2012 will stand out in my memory as the summer we moved to Sioux City. My mom and Chris’ mom were with the kids most of the weekdays in June and July, watching them so we could go to work every day together working on the practice.
Jack and Savannah were the luckiest kids! They went swimming at Uncle Steve and Aunt Marsha’s, out for McDonalds and ice cream, to many different parks, and to the Queen of Peace to see the statues on the golf cart! They rode on the city bus with Lolli and Mimi and they rode on Grammy’s school bus too! They went out to Aunt Kari and Rob’s farm to see the dairy cows. I think the kids loved every minute of the summer with their grandmas. They discovered Neil Diamond with Grandma and Michael Buble with Lolli. Puff the Magic Dragon was the theme song of the summer!! They sang it over and over that is for sure!!
They did yard work, Jack mowing and Savvy watering flowers. They did dishes with Lolli and helped Grammy with Sammy dog. They visited Pop and Pa at work and went to library story time. Every evening Chris and I got to hear about their busy days. Every night the kids slept like logs….exhausted from all the fun.
Thank you Mom and Rox, Greg and Lyle! You are the best parents we could ask for and the best grandparents the kids could ever have! Thank you for all your help this summer. We love you and Jack and Savannah adore you!
These are random pics from the summer that I haven’t published yet in any blogs.
