We went to Iowa City on September 28th for an appointment for Jack in Pediatric Orthopedics. It was our second trip to Iowa City with all three kiddos. It went really well and we got great news. Dr. Dietz evaluates the small kiddos in the wide hallway in the ortho department by flying this helicopter and having the kids run after it, bend over, and pick it up. The doctor said that Jack walked and ran so well that he suggested Jack stop wearing his AFO, his leg and foot brace! He also said he recommends he stop wearing his Benik hand brace. We were thrilled to hear this news. No radiographs were necessary and Dr. Dietz just went on and on about what a miracle Jack was. I LOVE hearing that because that is how I feel!!
We celebrated with Chick-Fil-A, the Carousel, our two favorite Iowa City friends, Shane and Jason!!! It was great to see them and they got to meet Mr. Landon for the first time!
Landon set his eyes on Jason and really didn’t take them off him for a long time! It was so nice to catch up and watch the kids play. We missed out on Weston and Devon since they were at school. Maybe next time. Thanks for meeting us Shane and Jason, we love you both dearly!
Smiles from Savvy girl!
Stinker Jack wouldn’t look at me!
