Rena’s Baby Shower

photo (9)

My first diaper cake creation, the nursery colors are navy blue and white, and Rena used some polka dots in his room as well.

On Oct. 6th, Anne and I hosted a baby shower for Rena at our tiny house.  It was fun, however quite crowded and a bit chaotic.  Chris had Jack and Savannah and I had Landon at the house with me.  He of course, was very fussy, and blew out his diaper just as Rena was opening gifts!  The good news is that everyone had a good time, Rena received fabulous gifts, and the food was delicious!

The menu included sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A, broccoli cole slaw, Snicker salad, macaroni salad, and cupcakes and cookies.

Rena was patiently awaiting the arrival of little Frederick.

Anne did a great job planning games.  We played a game with melted fun size candy bars in diapers.  Guessing the candy bar was harder than many people thought it would be.

Aunt Dorothy really got into it.  She made us all laugh.

We also played a game with our beverages.  The ice cubes had tiny little babies in them and as the ice cubes melted, then the ladies announced their “waters broke!”  Overall Anne and I had a great time planning the shower.  Roxanne helped so much with the planning and my mom helped with Landon the day of the shower so I didn’t lose my mind. Surprised smile
